Just Like Old Times

Doug Mirabelli is back! And with his return comes the end of the Josh Bard Era, ever to be known by Red Sox fans as the "Please, not another passed ball!" era. This is clearly good news, especially since the Yankees are in town tonight and Tim "Yankee Killer" Wakefield really doesn't need all that sloppiness behind the plate to distract him from the task at hand.

Besides, Mirabelli is so much more adorable than Bard, isn't he?

I was in a meeting when this 'officially' came through.

I've never been so happy to have a backup player back on our team.

My emailbox and voicemail are full of "is it true?" and "Oh my God it IS true" messages.

I hope Dougie knows how much the nation loves him.

If he doesn't already, he'll find out in about, oh, 4 1/2 hours.

I want to leave work early so I can be in front of the tv the moment this all starts.

It's a sickness.

His return(Mirabelli)could NOT have come sooner.

Here in RSN-NYC, while being stuck with the "No" Feed from DFyankees, while screaming for Michael "Y2" Kay, to shut up in much the same manner as The Obfustacologist of FOX, Tim Mc Carver gets our razzes, Jonny Demon was getting razzed to death, as a doll with a $ sign where the spidery NY on his cap should be, complete with dollar bill cape, was passsed around the latest & best Red Sox Pub in NYC, Professor Thom's.

Thank Goodness that "The Bard" was traded. We could no longer stand all those passed balls.

Of course we also couldn't stand all those references to the Newly-Musclebound Jason GiamBALCO, for whom no HGH test has been developed.

So for these 2 Nights of devotion to our Red Sox, we have to do our penance & watch the "No" Network.

This gets us ready to tolerate the Bozos @ FOX, especially The Guy With The Hair Dye & Dumb Observations.
