If Beazer Writes a Phone Call about This, I'm Gonna Smack Her

Lenny DiNardoFarewell, Lenny.

Dear Lenny, sexy Lenny, guitar playing Lenny, "Do Me Lenny."

Rule 5 Lenny, lefty out of the 'pen Lenny, 7.85 ERA in '06 Lenny, still has a World Series ring Lenny.

Favorite of the sistahs Lenny, gets no respect from Beazer Lenny, just friends with Bronson Lenny.

A haiku for Lenny:

Though heading westward
Lenny will forever be
Object of my lust
It just won't be the same without him.

I haven't decided if there will be a phone call...but Lenny emailed me today and told me he's going to post something tonight. :-)

This is my favorite part:

//Rule 5 Lenny, lefty out of the 'pen Lenny, 7.85 ERA in '05 Lenny, still has a World Series ring Lenny//

And I love the Haiku.

I have a hard time giving you grief about this because I know how you feel!

(and I have nothing but LOVE for Lenny!)

And if it makes you feel better, I received no less than 5 emails today and last night asking how you were and if we were going to stop writing about Lenny here. :-)

A new haiku from Lenny:

I'm off to Oakland
Goodbye lusty Boston men!
Think of me and smile.

Lenny really isn't working for the A's...he's working for Salt Lick BBQ in Texas. I'll visit him often.

Back in 2005 I was going on the Red Sox cruise and Lenny was going to be one of the players on the cruise (along with Bronson). The author of this blog asked me to ask him to marry her. I did but I also told him I thought she was a bit old for him. He said, "it depends. How old?"
He agreed with me.
I had the chance to sit next to him at dinner one night on the cruise and he's a very nice person. I wish he'd been a better pitcher for the Red Sox.
Good luck in Oakland, Lenny!

Lenny's great smile will be missed.

Oops - I just realized a mistake. It should be, "7.85 ERA in '06 Lenny." I have edited it.
