A Postcard Shower
Okay, so it's been a while...but there's good reason to bring back the blog: David Ortiz needs us!
We haven't "had" to really do one of these in a while...but Sistah Kelly J (Triumphant Red Sox Fan) has decided (and we all agree) that now is definitely the time!
Here's what you need to do:
Get or make 10 postcards and write encouraging messages. Mail them ASAP but not after Wednesday, May 20, because they hit the road again the following Monday.

The point behind this is to show Papi that we support him and want him to do well - in spite of the negativity that might show itself through the media or jerks at the park.
So do your part and show Papi we're behind him!

Anon, you could be correct that Ortiz is finished. It's not beyond the realm of possibility.
OTOH, as a Sox fan (I'm assuming you are), I'd hope you're wishing Papi's struggles are just a matter of mechanics that he'll get straightened out. We need Ortiz healthy and productive and if sending a positive post card or two gets him out of his slump, that's a good thing. It's not hurting anything except a few pennies from your wallet and a little time.
I'm in. Papi needs and deserves our support.
